Shockwave Protocol
Modern metal / Industrial electronics
Human emotion. Digital chaos.

Behind the sound
Shockwave Protocol combines modern metal, nu-metal weight, industrial electronics and cinematic atmosphere into a sound built on contrast. At the front are two distinct lead vocalists: Ryder Thorne, whose dual-voice approach shifts between melody and aggressive distortion, and Kaelen Cross, whose clean voice carries the band's emotional and anthemic side. Dante Voss supplies extended-range riffs and atmospheric guitar architecture; Jace Hollow brings a deliberately prominent, distorted bass voice; Kieran Graves merges acoustic power with triggered and electronic percussion; and Silas Reign fills the spaces between with synths, samples, glitches and industrial sound design. The visual world surrounding Shockwave Protocol is equally important: dystopian cyberpunk, ruined cities, cyborg imagery, neon, code, static and corrupted digital systems. Across its music and artwork, the project explores pressure, identity, damage, survival and the point where human emotion collides with technology.

Individual voices. Shared vision.

Dual-Voice Lead Vocalist
Ryder Thorne is Shockwave Protocol's unpredictable frontman, of mixed Aboriginal Australian and European heritage, and the source of the band's signature vocal duality. He moves from controlled, haunting melody into an aggressive distorted second voice, giving the music a constant tension between vulnerability and impact. Offstage he is reserved, observant and intensely creative; onstage he becomes volatile and commanding. His underground-metal background and experimentation with vocal distortion helped define the sound that would become Shockwave Protocol.

Clean Lead Vocalist
Kaelen Cross is the emotional centre of Shockwave Protocol, with New Zealand Māori heritage. His clean lead voice carries intimate verses, soaring choruses and the melodic counterpoint to Ryder Thorne's heavier delivery. Coming from acoustic and alternative-rock roots, Kaelen brings warmth and clarity to the band's dense electronic-metal production. Grounded, empathetic and quietly confident, he is a genuine co-frontman whose contrast with Ryder is fundamental to the band's identity.

Lead Guitar
Dante Voss is Shockwave Protocol's Italian-Australian lead guitarist. He shapes Shockwave Protocol's guitar language with extended-range guitars, crushing detuned riffs, feedback, unusual harmonics and atmospheric lead work. A former session guitarist and producer, he values emotion and memorable texture over technical display for its own sake. Analytical, sarcastic and meticulous, Dante acts as one of the band's principal sonic architects, giving the electronic chaos a massive physical frame.

Bass Guitar
Jace Hollow is Shockwave Protocol's African-Australian bassist and the low-end force beneath the band. His distorted bass tone is designed to be heard as its own aggressive voice rather than simply shadowing the guitar. With roots in hardcore and groove metal, Jace brings weight, movement and a powerful live presence to the band. Loud, funny, protective and fiercely loyal, he is both the physical foundation of the music and the member most likely to break studio tension with a joke.

Drums
Kieran Graves is Shockwave Protocol's Irish-Australian drummer. He drives Shockwave Protocol with a hybrid approach that combines acoustic metal drumming, triggers, electronic pads and programmed rhythmic ideas. He can move from sparse electronic percussion into explosive double-kick sections without losing the groove. Energetic, competitive and technically obsessed, Kieran gives the band's futuristic production a human pulse while working closely with Silas Reign on the electronic side of the rhythm section.

Electronics / Samples / Keyboards
Silas Reign is Shockwave Protocol's Japanese-Australian electronic architect. He builds the glitches, corrupted samples, synths, industrial noise, vocal manipulation and cinematic transitions that push the band beyond conventional metal. Originally an underground electronic producer and remixer, Silas was drawn into the project after his experimental work caught Ryder's attention. Mysterious, dryly funny and relentlessly experimental, he makes the band's sound larger, darker and stranger.
